If there was ever a time when you should consider a "best-of-breed" rather than a single supplier solution, this is it. Whitebirch is the first, and only, planning solution that automates the planning process from data collection to fully integrated financial statements.
Whitebirch Enterprise Planning offers you the most complete planning application on the market.
- Combines budgeting, forecasting, and modeling into one powerful tool.
- Automates the planning process from data collection to fully integrated financial statements.
- No need for secondary procedures: Collected data is instantly integrated into your model.
Objects vs. cells
In a cell-based system, an object is a cell. The user defines and maintains the relationship between every cell in the model. Cells can be copied, but the copy stands on its own. Formulas can be copied, but every formula stands on its own.
In Whitebirch, an object might be an employee or a capital asset. The object maintains the relationship between itself and the rest of the financial model. An object can have as many 'instances' as needed. Every instance shares the same logic. A change in the object automatically propagates to all instances. 'Cells' are integral to the object and created and maintained by the object.
Consider a 12 month financial model for an employee, that calculates wages, taxes, and benefits. Let's say the model needs to perform the calculations for 100 employees.

Layers Similar to layers in image processing software such as Adobe Photoshop, assumptions can be layered to create alternative views of the model. Layers can be included or excluded as needed to allow unprecedented modeling and analysis flexibility.
By contrast, spreadsheets are inherently two-dimensional, making layering impossible. Yes, it is possible to have multiple values for a cell using named variables, but that's as far as it goes.
Whitebirch has patented layer technology. Our layers allow you to make incremental modifications to one, some, or all line items or cells at once, without copying or changing the underlying model. Change only what you want to change, and apply the change only when you say to do so.
Multi-dimensionality
Whitebirch allows you to slice, dice, and drill down as deep as necessary. Dimensions include time, case (base, best, worst; plan vs. actual; debt vs. equity; make vs. buy), and part (product line; region; division, company, department; customer).
Compare, contrast, and reorganize, into columns, rows, and tabs. Up your game with Whitebirch! |
